2025 has been a good year with plenty of action in the Province - Fun, Fundraising and Friendship and laughs along the way - from the outset with Lodge dinners, curry nights and lodge quizzes - there is always something going on in the Wrekin Province !

November - Arthur Oliver Lodge 10703 - Donation to the Lingen Davies Cancer Unit "Sunflower Appeal"

Pictured are Arthur Oliver Lodge members Bro Lewis Sprigg, Bro Ross Mushet ML Trustee & Bro Tom Jones ROH PPGP, presenting the cheque to representatives of the Lingen Davies Sunflower Appeal on the 25/11/2026. Bro Ross bought this amazing appeal to the attention of the Lodge as the proceeds of the appeal will found the launch of a new treatment unit based in Telford. This unit is very close to the heart of the Lodge members, and will continue to provide invaluable life saving treatment to cancer patients in the area.

The article is reprinted with the kind permission of the Appeal unit fund.

September - "CHARITY NIGHT ANOTHER SUCCESS in the Province"

A few piccies from the recent charity quiz bingo that was another great success, raising over £600 for the PGP's Appeal at the Arthur Oliver Lodge in Bridgnorth.

Our thanks go to the Quiz master extraordinaire Bro Tom Jones for leading the evening, the ladies that fluttered their raffle tickets, all in the Tombola Corner camp and out generous visiting Brothers, ladies and gents as guests from around the Province, with 60 in attendance. Another lovely drop of our signature culinary dish was served up by our hosts at the AFC Bridgnorth Football Club - we thank you all for making the evening possible.

Picture Gallery from 2024:

The Arthur Oliver Lodge 10703 held its Christmas bash at the Down Inn, Bridgnorth that entertained 80 plus guests from the Wrekin (Shropshire) and neighboring Provinces. Good food and great company was enjoyed by all and some traditional dodgy dancing accompanied a tremendous raffle with thanks to the ticket seller extraordinaire Miss Lauren Preece on the evening. A 32 inch smart TV kindly donated through Bro Stu Bristow KOM was spirited away by Bro "you've gotta be in it to win it" Damian Ward ROH - well done to all that helped on the night in organizing the evening, setting up the amazing array of raffle prizes donated by the Brethren & guests. The Absent Brethren toast was sung in full harmony as a request by the guests assembled STB.

Two interesting Pictures from  Bro. Arthur Jones:

Above sees the regalia visit of Bro Kevin Tyrer PGP ROH PGP 2006 to the Ironbridge Lodge 10197 - now sadly closed. Many of the Brethren in the photo still attend other Lodges in the Province

The above photo was taken at Bro Keith Porter ROH old pub The Queen's Arms in Dawley. It depicts the regaled members of the Wrekin Lodge 7138 that had been reformed for a few years before closure. Sad to say that the majority of these Brothers are no longer with us, which led to the closure of another fine Lodge

===================================================================================

The Bull's Head, Wrockwardine Wood With its green and russet tiles this must be the prettiest pub in Telford. The oval plaque between the upper windows reads: Est 1838 Bulls Head Renovated 1984. Many Lodge meeting was held here over the decades gone by.

The public house has a front of glazed brick and a tile roof. There are two storeys and two bays. In the ground floor is a public house front with pilasters, an entablature, and engraved glass windows and the upper floor contains bay windows with gables and terracotta finials.[7]
